I have been drinking silica rich mineral water for 8 years to lower my body burden of aluminum. Aluminum is the cause of Alzheimer's and the form of silica found in mineral water removes aluminum from the body including the brain. (see below for links to more information)
Over the past 8 years I have noticed my brain is sharper. For
example I have less word finding problems (senior moments) and my thinking is
clearer and faster. I have noticed a difference
in my cognition compared to friends around my age. I have also lost weight. I did not consider myself as needing to lose
weight when I started drinking silica water.
I lost weight slowly over a year or so.
I am now back to the weight I was in high school. Aluminum inhibits the two key steps in metabolizing

I drink 3 to 4 cups of silica water a day. I spread my drinking throughout the day. I also drink silica water before an activity where I sweat as aluminum is removed through sweat and urine.
I learned my Apoe status a few years ago. My journey learning about Alzheimer’s started 12 years ago when my mother in law’s cognitive problems began to impact her daily functioning. When my husband who is a scientist learned there was no treatment for Alzheimer’s he turned to the scientific literature to find answers. What he learned shocked us but also brought us hope. APOE4 - why are you at increased risk. It has to do with aluminum
People with the APOE4 gene produce more beta amyloid oligomers than people without Apoe4. Beta amyloid forms neurotoxic oligomers that react with aluminum to form neurotoxic droplets (Nano droplets) of amyloid oligomers. These neurotoxic droplets are very stable and mobile in the brain and are “freezing” the amyloid in the oligomeric state. I have reduced my body burden of aluminum to that of a
healthy 20 year old. I did not test my
amount of aluminum prior to drinking silica water. This is done by a 24 hour urine test. Aluminum test results
Prior to starting drinking silica water I have led what I
consider a healthy life style.
1. I aerobically exercise 3 times a week for 40
minutes and am physically active (hiking, biking etc). I also do upper body weight exercises with 3
to 5 pound weights for ½ hour.
2. I have never smoked and I don’t drink much alcohol.
3. I don’t eat much processed food. In the past 10 years I avoid aluminum in my food. I have never done a special diet.
4. Around 10 years ago I began identifying sources
of aluminum and eliminating them. Sources of Aluminum

to do so. In the past 10 years I have
added PQQ, CoQ10, Taurine, and Selenium. Protocol
6. I have no major health issues (low blood pressure)
I learned of my Apoe status a few years ago. At that time my mother in law was tested and she was Apoe3/4. Once we got those results my husband decided to get tested he is Apoe 2/4. I decided to do the test because I suspected my maternal grandmother and great grandmother had dementia. My mother died at age 79 and did not have any noticeable cognitive issues.
